We’ve turned this joint July birthday celebration into a fun Mexican Fiesta Birthday Party with lots of vibrant colours, floral patterns and textures. Inspired by Mexican folk art and nature, we used a mix of paper, yarn, wooden frames, flowers and cactus to style the venue, dessert table and drink station. We hung colourful paper lanterns, paper fans and cut out buntings on the ceilings & walls to give the party a really festive vibe.
What we love most about the party are all the personalised and quirky details:
- the old serbesa bottles we used as flower vase
- the mini cactus pots we wrapped in colourful crepe paper
- the shabby and patterned wooden frames we used to make the flower vase look like popping artworks
- the colourful yarn tassel bunting cake topper we handcrafted with love
The kid’s enjoyed having their little party table and the fun Mexican theme prints on the cushions. For dessert we served foil wrapped chocolates and rainbow meringue in candy coloured jars. Our new Pineapple glass beverage jar added the wow factor and the pineapple & moustache party straws were a lot of fun. Of course no Mexican fiesta will be complete without a Piñata or even better, a Piñata cake!
Mexican Fiesta is one of our favourite themes – there’s so many fun ideas you can do with the colours, decors & styling – and we hope to do it again next year. 🙂
