We had so much fun bringing the magic of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic to Alessandra’s 7th Birthday Party. Inspired by the characters of Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Apple Jack and Fluttershy, we styled Alessandra’s party with a mix of rainbow colours, fashion chic and of course, lots of sweet treats!
Alessandra is a fun loving, creative and friendly little girl and she LOVES My Little Pony to bits! She knows all the character names, the story and the songs off by heart.

The challenge for us, is to not just create a themed party but to bring the town of Ponyville to the venue so that Alessandra and her friends can experience all the magical fun & colourful adventures that they love so much about the show.
We did this by ensuring every aspect is well coordinated from the invitation cards, posters & party signs, the seating plan and table centrepieces, the dessert table & backdrop, to the Photo Booth and the party souvenirs. We achieved this by using the 7 colours of the rainbow as Alessandra’s “logo” – it reflects her personality, symbolises her turning 7 and ties everything in with the My Little Pony theme.
We created 3 mini dessert buffet & party stations for the kids to enjoy:
- Sugar Cube Corner Patisserie featuring Pinkie Pie’s selection of yummy cupcakes, pastel meringue & rainbow coloured macaroons complete with personalised lolly bags
- Main dessert table featuring Alessandra’s two tier ruffled cake and My Little Pony themed cupcakes by Chef A, Cutie Mark marshmallow pops and a selection of lollies. We designed a special backdrop with Alessandra’s photos from age 1 to 6!
- Carousel Boutique Fashion Shop featuring rainbow loom bands we handcrafted ourselves, Pinkie Pie hair extensions & accessories for the Photo Booth and My Little Pony rings for the kids to take home. We also designed a personalised “Alessandra” Fashion tag for the lolly bags.
- the colourful Tulle pompom table centrepieces filled with lollies complete with the My Little Pony characters table placers.
- the beautiful customised backdrop that brings the Ponyville shop vibe to the dessert table stations
- the personalised backdrop featuring Alessandra’s photos from age 1 to 6
- the white chocolate dipped Marshmallow pops with rainbow sprinkles and Cutie Mark tags
- the colourful & fashionable rainbow loom bands for the Carousel Boutique
The best part of the party was seeing the big smile on Alessandra’s face when she walked in and saw Ponyville & all the Ponies at her party. And that contagious smile stayed on throughout the day and spread to all her friends and guests. That was truly magical!
