It’s always our wish to combine classic literature with quirky and vintage styling and our wish came true with this Pinocchio themed party. We absolutely adore the Adventures of Pinocchio, both Carlo Collodi’s children’s novel and Walt Disney’s animated film. It was so much fun to bring Geppetto’s workshop & the magical story of Pinocchio to life with this Vintage Rustic Pinocchio themed dessert table for Alessandro’s 1st birthday.
Taking inspiration from the look and feel of classic vintage Pinocchio, we used wood as our main design element – from the trestle table, to the risers and wooden chest centrepiece – complementing the rustic Italian setting and atmosphere at Signorelli Gastronomia. We carried the wooden texture through to the customised framed artwork and lolly labels. The Red, blue & yellow colour palette in the lollies, dessert, tableware and props brought Pinocchio’s character to life. Our custom made Pinnocchio lolly bags were definitely our favourite item!
It was lovely working with Alessandro’s stylish mum, Rosa, who did an amazing job organising the party and sourcing the balloons, desserts and that adorable cake made with love by Alessandro’s uncle. We always love incorporating our celebrant’s personal items in our styling, and Alessandro’s Pinocchio dolls added so much fun & magic to the theme.
